This morning, Paula Deen said on the “Today” show that she has Type 2 diabetes, an announcement that has prompted many thousands of characters’ worth of snarky Twitter remarks and blog commentary. Ms. Deen has her fans, too, along with several projects in the works — it was recently announced that she will release three e-books and two cookbooks in the next three years — and love her or hate her, her lavishly indulgent recipes have attracted the kind of attention that few other television chefs have matched.

We turned to readers on Twitter for help compiling a list of Ms. Deen’s most famous, or infamous, recipes.

For starters, there’s Krispy Kreme bread pudding — a friend’s recipe, she explains — which adds eggs, sweetened condensed milk, a can of fruit cocktail, cinnamon and raisins to chunks of glazed doughnuts, topped with a rum sauce. The smell “will knock you into next week” Ms. Deen exclaims:

Krispy Kreme doughnuts also figure in the Lady’s Brunch Burger, which Ms. Deen describes as “over the top — even for me!” A beef patty is topped with bacon and a fried egg, and then sandwiched between two glazed doughnuts:

And then there’s Ms. Deen’s fried macaroni and cheese, in which a square piece of macaroni and cheese is wrapped in bacon, dredged in flour, egg and cracker crumbs, and cooked in peanut oil:
