TROOPERS: Meth Materials and Stolen Goods Found in Traffic Stop

JACKSON, COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) — The Ohio Highway Patrol says it’s busted four people for possession of meth lab materials and stolen goods in Jackson County, Ohio.

It happened during a traffic stop on U.S. 35 Wednesday night. during a search of their car, troopers say they found several rolls of stolen copper wire, valued at $1,660 and chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine.

The driver, Donald Brick, 37, of Sandyville, W.Va., was charged with receiving stolen property.

The passengers, Todd Scaggs, 47, of Rougemont, N.C., Jennifer Chapman, 26, of Seth, W.Va., and Steven D. Blankenship, 32, of Virginia Beach, Va., were changed with illegal assembly of chemicals for manufacture of drugs. Troopers say other charges are possible pending.

Brick, Scaggs and Blankenship were incarcerated in the Jackson County Correctional Facility and Chapman was incarcerated in the Ross County LEC.
