As told to Peter Walsh

I still haven’t made my decision as to where I’m going to play college ball next season and I’m cool with that. when the time is right, I’ll make my choice. I want to make sure that my family and I are fully comfortable and have given every school an opportunity before I decide. I haven’t narrowed my list of schools down at all and I’m still considering Duke, UCLA, Memphis, Ohio State, Kansas, Georgetown and Georgia. I don’t plan on taking any more visits to schools and now I need to sit down and figure out what the best place for me will be.

I think my game will translate well at the next level. I’m a tough, hard-nosed player and I’ll be able to help out whatever school I go to right away. during my freshman year I want to go out and play smart and be the best teammate I can be. I want to win and do whatever it takes to help my team and coaches put together a successful season. I still have a lot to work on and right now I’m focused on expanding my game. I’ve been working on a variety of ways to score, especially away from the block. during high school, I was usually bigger and stronger than everyone else so I would bully my way to the bucket, but at the next level that’s not going to work most of the time. I’m trying to stretch my game and work on my outside moves so guys will have to come out and defend me at different areas every trip down the court.

I’m really happy for Nerlens and Shabazz, they both made great decisions and will definitely be successful at the next level. They’re both friends of mine so I’m proud of them and can’t wait to see them ball out at Kentucky and UCLA. Kentucky is a great fit for Nerlens, he’s my roommate for the week and we talked about it a bit. He knows what the coaching staff at Kentucky expects from him and he’s ready to go in and play and help the team out. Shabazz has the chance to come into UCLA and help build up the program back to where it was a few years ago. both of them are excited to hit the court for their schools next season and hopefully win a bunch of games.

We’ve been having a lot of fun this week and it’s going to be great to get out there on Saturday, it’s going to be a fun game and representing Jordan is the perfect way to end our high school careers. All my coaches are down here to see me play for the last time so I can’t think of a better way to go out. We went to the ESPN Center and to the NASCAR Hall of Fame to meet the Jordan Brand racer and see how all the cars are built and all that has been fun. Practice has been serious, though and we’re ready to get out there, play hard and give the fans a show.

Thanks for reading and be sure to catch the game this weekend!
