Apple debuted the new software at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June and released it to consumers this week. The software brings 200 features to the iPhone, the iPad and the iPod Touch, including Notifications, iMessage, iCloud service, photo improvements.

Arrival of find my Friend and Airport Utility App

Apple introduced two new apps on the iOS platform before pushing it out; one of these was the find my Friend app which allows users to keep track of friends with other iOS devices and the other for setting up the company’s network.

Mac OS X 10.7.2. with iCloud Support

Apple released an OS X 10.7.2 update for its latest Lion operating system, which includes support for Apple’s iCloud service. It includes synchronization options for e-mail, contacts, notes, bookmarks, documents, calendars and the iCloud iPhoto stream feature.

Wins Injunction against Samsung in Australia

In the legal arena, Apple recorded another win, when the Federal Court of Australia awarded it an interlocutory injunction against Samsung selling its Galaxy Tab 10.1 for infringing on Apple’s patents.

Google and Samsung have had a hard time coping with Apple’s dominance. both competitors of the California-based organization are holding off an event they had scheduled for this week to announce the first phone based on the next version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich. according to an AllThingsD report, both companies changed their mind, saying, “We believe this is not the right time to announce a new product as the world expresses tribute to Steve Jobs’ passing.”
