Miami Heat Forward Chris Bosh Plays big in Heat’s Game 3 Win over Bulls

It’s official: we can no longer disrespect Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh.

Ever since Bosh teamed up with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, he’s been disrespected.

People have called the Heat “The big Two,” effectively slighting Bosh, and he’s basically been deemed nothing more than a role player in contrast to James and Wade.

But how quickly we forget that Bosh was a star before coming to Miami. then, just because he teams up with two superstars, he’s diminished as a player.

Bosh is the same player as he’s always been, folks. We just haven’t noticed.

In Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals on Sunday against the Chicago Bulls, Bosh merely scored 34 points on 13-of-18 shooting. not only that, he finished 13-of-15 from the floor. He was a big part of the Heat’s 96-85 win, and a big reason they are now ahead in the series, 2-1.

Bosh’s demeanor throughout the season and the playoffs has also compared favorably to Wade and James.’ Despite all the hate and hoopla, Bosh has stayed calm and focused (with the exception of that Game 3 against the Boston Celtics).

He’s been the model of a team player, a humble player and a player who knows his role, which is more than can be said about some star athletes.

But Bosh doesn’t mind.

Keep on ignoring him.

He’ll calmly continue to burn you.

My birthday is one week and I am trying to find somewhere/something to have a gathering of people. I'm not totally set on a bar but I figure it's what people my age (24) do. (Plus, it's easy and sociable)
I've been looking at lower east side area so we can bar-hop.
Looking for a place where I can dance but also a "quiet spot" where the music is not drowning everything out. (There has to be places like this)
I'm NOT into sports and bad pop music.
Cheap, informal and a big enough space to breathe. I know there are tons of places out there but I could use some opinions, ideas, etc!

I want districts with 30000+ children Examples- Cy-Fair ISD, Houston ISD etc.
Give me the reason you chose it plz.

Katy ISD, Cypress-Fairbanks, and the southern half of Spring Branch ISD are all well above average. Forget pretty much anything in HISD.

Um, tell us why we're supposed to guess closest to your picks? that would make this question unnecessary, wouldn't it?

I dont' think any of us are that hard up for 10 points.

HISD is okay but only certain schools, Katy & the Woodlands (whatever it's called).

I don't care about the points. Memorial is the best public school. Stratford, Katy and Bellaire are some other good high schools.

I have been very impressed with the Woodlands schools. They are all rated exemplary and have so many extra curricular activities, sports (even Ice Hockey). You name it they have it.

Down fall is it is in Conroe ISD which includes other areas other than the Woodlands. So if you were to judge Conroe isd on a whole the scores are lower because of the lower funded schools.

Fort Bend ISD is a good district. A couple of my friends teach there and they love it.

go to realtor.com, enter the city, and look up the school zoning info.

Cyfair, Katy and Clear Creek. all very high rated check out www.greatschools.org they will rate them for you tell you all kinds of stuff about the school That's how i decided where to live. I wanted my kid in a school district. A realitor will tell you what she wants to make the sell remember they work on commission. HISD is the absolute worse.! Trust me I'm a product of the.

They all bite. Try private school. Cy fair, Klein, HISD are all underfunded & overcrowded. Actually most are except maybe Katy ISD or Clear Creek.

GAMERS are subjected to a cruel stereotype that we all live in our parents’ basement and are rendered lifeless if exposed to direct sunlight. while most games are not physically demanding, there is a growing market for exercise gaming — known more commonly as “exergaming”.

The Playstation and Wii are at the forefront of exercise gaming — having released several titles and peripherals that encourage gamers to get a good cardiovascular workout. many also offer calorie counters, which let you know exactly what you’re burning while you play.

Exergaming relies on technology that tracks body movement or reaction. Exergames are seen as evolving from technology changes aimed at making video games more fun and healthy at the same time.

After the huge success of titles such as Just Dance and Wii Sports Resort, the growing market and appeal of exercise gaming has spawned a whole army of peripherals and new game genres – enough to start your own interactive gym.

Many Wii games feature some sort of motion sensor controls, which read and track your movements as you play. there are now even horror-action titles, such as Silent Hill Shattered Memories that require players to swim, fend off attackers and move objects with wild flailing movements.

Motion sensor technology combined with gaming has become a hot topic over the last few years and got hotter with the announcement that both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 would be joining the Nintendo Wii in offering “motion” gaming. the implementation of these features will enable both these popular platforms to offer titles in the new “gaming as exercise” trend.

The Wii Fit is certainly a winner which helped to pioneer the gaming as exercise trend. It has not only sold over 20 million copies to date, but has taken things further by offering extra exercise gaming peripherals.

In 2009 the Wii CyberBike was released — the first video game to be bundled with a full-sized exercise bike. the visual stimulation coupled with the Cyberbike may see you clearing roads of pollution and traversing by land, sea and air over 18 different circuits.

This may not be for everyone, but then again neither is the gym. If you plan on buying an exercise bike anyway and like the sound of the additional gaming incentive, then the Cyberbike may be a good, modern choice.

If simple exercise isn’t enough to get your heart pounding, there are emerging possibilities of having the energy you expend by exergaming captured and put to good use. It is already possible to power a Playstation and small home appliances with exercise, but this tends to be an archetypal “hamster in a wheel” approach.

The River Gym

The River Gym, off the Hudson and East Rivers in New York, is a floating vessel of fitness that harnesses renewable energy from burnt-off calories. the plan is to have River Gym “pods” that would offer a range of exercise equipment capable of converting energy derived from human motion into usable electric energy stored in on-board batteries.

“The vessels would be fitted with water purification devices to combat pollution and would also be capable of carrying additional passengers and commuters, thereby easing the burden of ferry lines as well as varying the intensity of the exercise” — www.gizmag.com

The River Gym also promises “the obvious benefits of exercise and eco-credentials” along with spectacular panoramic views of New York – an experience that “far surpasses the bland tedium of a conventional gymnasium”.

Of course, it would only be fair that membership for a River Gym would be free considering that users would be creating vast amounts of usable energy by breaking a sweat. Perhaps some free, on-board entertainment sponsored by Nintendo is in order?

Miss USA 2010 photos and pictures: miss Michigan Rima Fakih new miss USA

On May 16, 2010 America got a new miss USA 2010: Rima Fakih. Rima is the first Arab/American crown holder and is from Dearborn Michigan. the beautiful 24-year-old is a graduate of the University of Michigan where she studied economics and business administration. There was no doubt that miss Michigan had her wits about her. She said that after winning the title of miss USA 2010 she plans to0 attend law school.

For hobbies, miss Michigan Rima Fakih has plenty. the new miss USA 2010 said that she enjoys sports such as kickboxing and football and is a huge fan of the NFL. She also likes to dance, run, and travel.

The first runner up is miss Oklahoma Morgan Elizabeth Woolard. miss USA will compete in the miss Universe 2010 pageant. Should Rima Fakih win that competition, miss Oklahoma would be crowned the new miss USA 2010 in her stead. If for any reason Rima Fakih can no longer withhold her obligations as miss USA, the crown would pass to Morgan Woolard.
The second runner up is miss Virginia Samantha Casey. Followed by miss Colorado Jessica Hartman and miss Maine Katie Whittier.

The event was held at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas and was full of fun, excitement, and beautiful pageantry.

As any nerd can tell you, being smarter than everyone else has a price. Poor social skills, being grossly over or under weight, being terrible at sports. Skin problems, probably bad eyesight … you get the idea.

Yet, there is a whole class of nerds who break that universal rule, who somehow wind up smarter than us, yet also, are so good at being tough or being hot that they’ve got legions of adoring fans. Maybe they’re just lucky, or maybe they turned their backs on God and sought solace in the infernal embrace of a giving demonic patron. the fact is, it is not fair that these people exist and we suggest you take it up with your local clergy.

We’re talking about people like …

When Golden Globe winner Natalie Portman was 10 years old, a representative of Revlon found her at a pizza parlor and asked her if she wanted to model. Portman turned her down and said that, all things considered, she would much rather act.

Portman was a straight A student in high school, although it was a public school and we can tell you first hand that most of what they teach involves premarital sex and how to keep your gun properly oiled. while playing the Queen Amidala in The Phantom Menace, she skipped the premiere to study for her final exams. This, by the way, got her into Harvard (If you ask us, it’s really a toss-up between the Ivy League and non-alcoholic sparkling cider at the kids’ table with baby Anakin.).

Portman was a research assistant in a psychology lab and put in some time working for the youngest law professor in the history of Harvard, Alan Dershowitz. You may remember him as a member of O.J. Simpson’s legal “dream team,” permanently earning himself another place in history as somebody you never want to get in an argument with about anything, ever. He even gave her a shout out in his book The Case for Israel.

Recently Natalie returned to the ground she covered with Dershowitz when she starred as anarchist apprentice Evey Hammond in the terrorist fable V for Vendetta. This got her invited to Columbia to speak to a class on terrorism and antiterrorism and, more importantly, bridging the raw, seemingly eternal divide between comic book and Star Wars geeks.

Bryan “Dexter” Holland is the kind of dude who, if he can’t get into a rock show, grabs a buddy and starts the Offspring. half a decade later, he was signed with Epitaph Records to join NOFX and Rancid, with whom his band is partly credited for bringing punk rock back into the angst-dripping hearts of suburban kids who really don’t have much to complain about except the emptiness of their idle middle-class lives. to go down that road, however, he had to give up a pretty straight-arrow career path of over-achieving drudgery that probably would have given him some of his best moody material–and a sick minivan to go with it.

Dexter, as it turns out, grew up in the high-rent suburbs West Garden Grove, California.

He went to Pacifica High School and, instead of setting fires and declaring anarchy, went ahead and graduated as valedictorian instead. He went on to the University of Southern California, became a pre-med student and eventually got his Master’s Degree in molecular biology. He was actually on the way to a Ph.D. before dropping out to follow his dream of throwing glistening globs of his own biological molecules all over screaming audiences night after night.

So how does one prepare to star in a campy Matrix-with-werewolves franchise? Why, by becoming a literary prodigy and mastering several languages, obviously. Beckinsale wrote award-winning short stories and poems (taking home the national W.H. Smith Literary Award twice in a row). that love for the written language took her to Oxford University, where Beckinsale mastered French, German and Russian and had her nose buried in French and Russian texts caked with several lifetimes’ worth of “who the hell gives a damn about Baratynsky” dust. She was on her way to being the world’s sexiest librarian in the world’s emptiest library before she finally dropped out to eventually star in a movie about a war between vampires and werewolves.

Kevin Grevioux, who played Raze. This dude, seemingly born to play horror movie monsters, served as a research assistant at the world famous National Institutes of Health and got his degree in microbiology from Howard University. while pursuing his master’s in genetic engineering, Grevioux discovered he was more interested in film and moved to Los Angeles. the role of Raze was perfect for Grevioux because, well, he wrote the movie.

We’d like to have been a fly on the wall during that shoot, with Beckinsale quoting Russian poetry and Grevioux tossing out cancer cures in their spare time. Then, they get interrupted so they can go play werewolves and vampires.
