EFT Tapping and Survivors of Childhood Abuse
Survivors of childhood abuse will often talk about the huge negative impact the abuse has had on their lives for many, many years if not almost an entire lifetime, that is until good quality help was sought. Childhood abuse can be emotional, physical, verbal, or sexual. some of the miserable disturbing long term effects of this type of abuse are shame, guilt, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, difficulty trusting others, difficulty expressing one’s feelings, difficulty relating to others, feeling helpless, powerless, & vulnerable, anger, overwhelming sadness, and sexual difficulties. as you can see the list is long and the effect on the person can be very damaging. Victims of childhood abuse often find themselves suffering from dreadful nightmares and debilitating flashbacks. is it little wonder the end result of all this, all too frequently can be alcohol and drug abuse, smoking, overeating, eating disorders or the like?
Fortunately, EFT Tapping has been found to be an excellent choice for working through the many issues that arise for survivors of childhood abuse. EFT Tapping is a simple, gentle, and yet very effective tool for this type of issue. one needs to understand though that for serious issues of this nature are certainly best handled by an experienced skilled EFT practitioner. Skilled EFT practitioners are trained in gentle strategies that minimize distress for the victim. The issues surrounding childhood abuse mean there are usually many aspects to be tapped on. Aspects are different pieces of an issue. With EFT Tapping for an issue to be completely resolved it is essential that all aspects are tapped on for the person to experience complete relief. Flashbacks and nightmares should cease and once a number of individual events have been tapped on self-esteem increases and an improved feeling of wellbeing should be experienced. Once a person is feeling better about themselves then the need to indulge in harmful activities such as drug and alcohol abuse, smoking, or over eating is reduced. The enormous benefits for the survivor of childhood abuse is that their painful memories can be replaced with a life of peacefulness, joy and happiness allowing them to put these dreadful events behind them like a distant memory.
I have found the healing that can be experienced can have such a big impact on the rest of the person’s life and thus allowing them, if they choose, to go on to completely turn their life around.

Keri Hilson – Energy Lyrics :-
I wish i could rip out a page of my memory
Cuz i put to much energy in him and me
Can’t wait til i get through this phase
Cuz its killing me
To bad we can’t re-write our own history
Such a mystery when hes here with me
It’s hard to believe i’m still lonely
Chances fading now, patience running out
This ain’t how its supposed to be
I’m having nightmares from sleeping with the enemy
How do we reverse the chemistry?
I don’t want us to be the end of me
This love is taking all of my energy
Energy, My Energy
Taking all my energy
Energy, My Energy
Taking all of (my energy)
Seems only like yesterday, not even gravity
Could keep your feet off the ground when u go to me
How can two be as one
We’ve become to divided now
Theres no use hiding from my misery
Such a mystery when hes here with me
It’s hard to believe i’m still lonely
Chances fading now, patience running out
This ain’t how its supposed to be

I’m having nightmares from sleeping with the enemy (Oh, Yeah)
How do we reverse the chemistry? (We gotta re-)
I don’t want us to be the end of me
This love is taking all of my energy
Energy, My Energy
Taking all my energy (Energy)
Energy (Energy), My Energy (Energy)
Taking all of
Now I can feel a change in me
and I can afford a slippage
from the person I was meant to be
I’m not afraid to move alone
not give it up but moving on
before it gets to deep
cause your taking all of my energy
I’m having nightmares from sleeping with the enemy
How do we reverse the chemistry?
I don’t want us to be the end of me
This love is taking all of my energy
Energy, My Energy
Taking all my energy
Energy, My Energy
Taking all of (my energy) x2
Ya killing me
Ya taking all of me
Oh
This love is taking all my energy
