If he could get away with it he wouldn't have been cited. sure he isn't going to get in any trouble with the NFL, and isn't going to be cut, but no other player would either. Reading the article it sounds like he needs/needed to grow up some, but it he wasn't a football player no one would have known. It makes me feel a little better that this is the worst he is being called out for, my guess is he gets a fine and maybe has to take anger management which is the appropriate punishment for anyone who behaves like that.

I agree with sgoldperson. Stuff like this happens every day. because Jeff is a football player it gets blown out of proportion. He used bad judgment but it didn't involve drugs or guns, no one was injured. I'm not saying that what he did was ok, it wasn't but why the fuss about something so trivial?

The New York Jets accepted the NFL’s offer to play host to the Thanksgiving night game this year, the New York Daily News reported.

The game will kick off at 8:20 p.m. the NFL will make the announcement on Monday at the league meetings in Orlando, Fla., the newspaper said. it will also name the Jets’ opponent for the Monday night opener on Sept. 13.

If the Jets are hosting the late game, then the Detroit Lions will host the New England Patriots earlier in the day. the Lions game is on CBS and the only AFC teams playing at Detroit next fall are the Jets and Patriots.
