PS3 Super Slim will miss Gamescom
The PS3-4000 ‘super slim’ will not be making an appearance at Sony’s press conference during this year’s Gamescom.
The unit – which is slimmer than its ‘slim’ model – will come in many SKUs, the cheapest of which is rumoured to have 16GB of flash memory. VG247 broke the story confirming the device won’t be at Gamescom, verifying information MCV obtained last week.
Elsewhere the report says that it might retail for under £100, but MCV does not believe this is correct. It’s more likely that Sony will look to bundles and other retailer incentives to make the price attractive.
In terms of design, the new console will have a flip-lid disc input and low-capacity storage to offer the console at the lowest price possible.
The 16GB storage space and smaller formfactor would create a device to rival Xbox 360’s 4GB unit that retails at £139.99.

Drake Earning High School Degree This Summer, Talks On OVO Fest
Drizzy Drake spoke on his plans for the summer, and his now-established annual event, the OVO Fest, in a recent interview.
While most people spend their summer trying not to think about the inevitable return to school, Drake is doing the opposite, by using his free time in the summer to finish school.
He recently told NOW Magazine that he plans to earn his high school degree this summer, apart from doing OVO Fest, which takes place this weekend. ”I’m actually spending my summer graduating high school,” the rapper admitted. “That’s my main focus after OVO Fest. I only have one credit left, and I’m really excited about that.”
He also spoke on his ties to his hometown of Toronto in the interview, and how T.Dot affects his music.
“When I think of myself, I think of Toronto. My music would never sound the way it does if it weren’t for Toronto,” he said. “You talk about certain artists, and they sound like where they’re from. Myself and the Weeknd, we both just sound like Toronto.”
Drake’s annual OVO Fest in his hometown is known for having huge surprise guests, as when Jay-Z and Eminem took the stage for the first-ever OVO Fest. However, Drizzy kept tight-lipped about surprises this year, as a lot of it comes together at the last minute.
“I like for it to be a surprise, and a lot of the time we’re working up until the last minute on it. Trying to get Jay-Z up there the first year,? I didn’t even know if he would make it onstage. Trying to get Lil Wayne to land in Canada successfully last year, especially right after he got out of jail?” he continued, “A lot of the time it’s very last-minute. sometimes I’ll only find out 10 minutes before that so-and-so is about to walk onstage. It’s exciting when it works out, but it’s an anxiety attack for the entire time that you’re still unsure about it.”

Are Taylor Swift’s Parents Separated?
Strong family support has been a key part of Taylor Swift‘s success. But according to a recent report, Taylor’s parents may actually be separated. The story was posted at Radar Online and will appear in the next issue of the Star magazine.
It’s a deeply sad story, of course. according to the Star‘s source, Taylor’s parents, Andrea and Scott, ”haven’t filed for divorce because they don’t want it to damage Taylor’s career.” they have, though, “stopped wearing their wedding rings.”
Taylor’s upcoming new album will apparently reflect that sadness, according to the Star. “The new album will showcase the pain of her parents’ separation,” the source is quoted as saying.
The ‘sad’ nature of Taylor’s upcoming album isn’t news. she already spoke about that, most notably in her New Yorker profile last year, where, describing the new songs, she said: ‘They’re sad? if I’m being honest.’”
As for whether the story of the separation and divorce are true, Taylor’s management company and record label had no comment.

Conversation threads on the subject have also appeared on the forums pages of Taylor’s website, but they have been deleted, with the message reading “that thread no longer exists.”
Taylor Swift recently took home five Teen choice Awards. And while her new album release has not yet been announced, she did tease fans with a note on Facebook recently that implied it may be coming very soon.
