The global recession prompted due to several causes is a ghastly piece of news for each and every business in every country throughout the world. The tendency adopted in this recession by companies in their pursuit to survive during the chaotic time would be to enter into reviewing the headcount, as well as freezing the budget along with numerous cost reducing measures.

Nonetheless, it is possible that the growth of the company will be stunted in case you continue with the practice or overreact to the whole situation. it is seen with recession hitting the economy many of the internationally based business were enforced to reorganize their operations. This was mainly done by ceasing the functioning of the facilities of production. Millions of working people were required to quit their jobs due to the ongoing crisis. The course of action adopted by the company should be to come in the forefront and re-invent the proceeding of your company and at the same time think of procedures for global recovery.

The crisis is faced by the business is of great magnitude. Businesses around the globe were hit so hard by the economic crisis that several businesses had to seek monetary assistance from the government in order to survive. several industries were in jeopardy and the others were facing the threat of bankruptcy. Practically for many monetary institutions it was like floor has been swept off under their feet. and as a conclusion the power if acquiring things by the public became feeble. The consumers were once again were very conscious about the budget.

Almost all people were forced to make their decisions carefully when it came to buying something as everyone was clueless about when the recovery from recession will take place. The trends in the market place began to fluctuate along with the demand of various products. almost every business was affected by this global economic crisis but the companies that were hard hit were the companies having large scale operation along with those who provide their services at high prices. The consumers are now turning to the businesses which render similar services at comparatively cheap prices.

Businesses that can survive this economic recession in a better way are basically small as well as medium scale industries. nonetheless, it does not suggest that they are not hit by economic crisis. The difference primarily lies in the fact that small as well as medium scale enterprises have comparatively undersized operations and have the ability to maintain the operation with fewer revenues. Such business usually has streamline way of operation which minimizes the total effect of the global crisis for survival.

The time span required by the international economy to recover is long as the magnitude of the crisis is large. Nations will have to strive hard to restructure their economy. What is further in store for us is hazy and the lucid picture is still to emerge. however, it is hoped that businesses will retain their normal position once again.

If you are Canadian, go through CBC, then the government doubles it and CBC gives it to whichever organization needs it most.
Otherwise, I'm not quite sure.

edit: just noticed your username, so it seems unlikely you're Canadian. Sorry!

Well, by reading the fine print and asking questions.if there is a phone number you can call, you can probably ask such questions, if it is a live operator.

connect with RED CROSS

If you want to donate to kids, then it will be Unicef. if it's all, then it's Red Cross.

I was also in same confusion. When I heard the news of earthquake in Haiti was a 7.0 in magnitude & many lives & families are destroyed then I was totally shocked with such damage.

I also wanted to donate for Haiti & in search of any reliable source who can effectively works for the Haiti relief donation. I found a very reliable & safe way to Donate-For-Haiti.I have contribute to them with my donation to help Haiti at their time of ample need.
Contribute & Pray for Haitians.

Just donate your money to your local homeless shelter, or local food pantry then you know it is going to the correct place. The US has homeless without shelter, children going to bed without eating, elderly going without needed meds, and mentally ill without treatment – and yet we have a benefit for the people of Haiti on 12 TV stations raising over $57 million! I think we should help our own first. Don't get me wrong I think it's very sad what happened to those people but did Haiti rally together for hurricane Katrina or 9/11?

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti — Gov.-Gen. Michaelle Jean on Monday called the destruction in the town where she was born “unbelievable,” but expressed optimism that the Haitian people can rebuild their quake-shattered country.

“We are here today to tell you that Haitians are not alone,” Jean told reporters at a news conference with Haitian President Rene Preval.

The Governor-General’s remarks came as she kicked off a two-day trip to Haiti to offer her support for Haitians and the Canadians assisting in the relief effort.

After being greeted at the airport by Preval, Jean travelled by helicopter to the National Palace, where she met with the Haitian president and Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive.

“It’s as if the city has been bombarded. the magnitude of destruction is unbelievable,” said Jean, adding that she was anxious and impatient ahead of the trip.

“The images that we received in Canada with the disaster were just unbearable, but already what I see is people really trying to overcome that incredible ordeal. I was amazed to see how many people were on the streets.”

The Governor-General said Canada is ready to support the reconstruction plan developed by the Haitian government.

“There was a plan, there was a national strategy ready for sustainable development and to fight poverty in Haiti. and I believe that already, even though the circumstances have changed and the situation is more difficult than it was a year ago, something is there,” she said.

“I believe it is feasible (to rebuild). It takes vision. Haiti’s not alone. We’ve heard Canada say it and we’ve heard the international community say it, and we will support that plan.”

The Jan. 12 quake left more than 200,000 people dead and more than a million homeless. Although there have been small signs of progress in the almost two months since the disaster, many of the capital’s residents continue to take refuge in makeshift tent cities.

The Canadian government has allocated $555 million over five years in aid for Haiti, making it the second largest recipient of Canadian foreign aid, after Afghanistan.

Since the quake, the government has pledged also to match at least $128 million in individual donations to an earthquake relief fund.

Jean was born in Port-au-Prince, but her family fled to Canada to escape the brutal regime of “Papa Doc” Duvalier when she was 11.

All the living members of Jean’s immediate family in Haiti survived the quake, but the godmother of her daughter Marie-Eden died in the disaster.

On Monday, Jean once again walked the streets of her native country — this time surrounded by plainclothes RCMP officers and television cameras.

There were echoes of her childhood as she visited the Cathedrale Episcopale, the church where she was baptized. After leaving a wreath amid the crumbled ruins, the Governor General took a chunk of the church with her as a keepsake.

To commemorate International Women’s Day, Jean addressed a women’s rally at the ministry of the status of women and women’s rights.

“Women of Haiti, the entire world knows that you are the pillars of your society,” said Jean, alternating between English, French and Creole.

“It is women who have to find the food and water, while caring for the children and the survivors . . . and it is the women who are the most subject to violence, including sexual violence. we must demand that women’s dignity be respected.”

Dressed in olive and khaki military-style fatigues, Jean then danced on stage with some of the women at the rally. in the crowd, a number of women wore T-shirts emblazoned with the slogan, “Many women fell, but we will persevere. Haiti will not perish.”

Jean later travelled to the town of Leogane, where she thanked Canadian troops who have been assisting with the relief efforts. the military has begun to draw down its operations in the country, and is expected to have all its troops withdrawn by mid-April.

“You’ve demonstrated not just your courage, but your strength of spirit,” said Jean. You’re a source of pride to the country you represent.”

To cap the day, Jean briefly toured a camp for homeless people in Leogane, making her the first Canadian dignitary to visit such a camp in Haiti since the quake.

On Tuesday, Jean heads to Jacmel, the seaside town where her mother was born, and where the Governor General spent much of her childhood.

Jean was accompanied by her husband, Jean Daniel Lafond. her daughter, who was adopted from Jacmel, did not make the trip.
