Johnny Depp’s ‘Lone Ranger’ Movie Canned Plus Depp’s Most Fun Flicks

Johnny Depp is the man of 1,000 faces. this gorgeous, laid back actor has his own style and his own swagger. The Deppster first came to light on 1990′s TV series “21 Jump Street” and it’s been a straight rise to the top since then.
Fans of the iconic Texas cowboy character “The Lone Ranger” were looking forward to the Disney Depp treatment of the movie. Wait no more movie watchers, this version of the flick has been canceled. The Golden Globe Award winner will not be riding off into the sunset with Tonto any time soon. Reportedly the two hundred million dollar price tag for production of the movie was too out of control for the studio.
If you need a flick fix from one of the most creative actors in Hollywood, here are a few movies you should rent today.
“Edward Scissorhands”
Depp’s “Edward Scissorhands” is one of the most inventive movie characters ever. The dark 1990 fantasy fairytale was directed by Tim Burton and co-stars Winona Ryder. just as interesting as this romantic movie is the fact that Depp and Ryder’s relationship ended up with a ribbon tattoo on his right arms which now reads “Wino forever.”
“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”
In 2005 our man Johnny courageously took on the iconic 1971 film “Willy Wonka and the Charlie Factory.” another Tim Burton collabo, of course Johnny D played weird Willy Wonka, candy impresario. instead of just recreating what Gene Wilder did in the original Depp brought his own flair and a wild, new interpretation.
“Pirates of the Caribbean”
Today’s kids know the SAG best Actor award-winner most from the “Pirates of Caribbean” franchise. The fantasy adventure series stars Johnny as Captain Jack Sparrow. The series produced by Jerry Bruckheimer started in 2003 and fans want more.
“Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”
For the king of oddball characters “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” was right up his alley. The comedy is based on a Hunter S. Thompson autobiographical novel of the same name. Actor Benicio del Toro co-stars. this flick is on many lists of best cult films.
So what will Mr. Depp do next? We don’t know but it’s sure to be memorable.
What do you think Johnny D should do now?

About RANGO From the director of Pirates of the Caribbean comes RANGO, featuring Johnny Depp in an original animated comedy-adventure that takes moviegoers for a hilarious and heartfelt walk in the Wild West. The story follows the comical, transformative journey of Rango (Depp), a sheltered chameleon living as an ordinary family pet, while facing a major identity crisis. After all, how high can you aim when your whole purpose in life is to blend in? When Rango accidentally winds up in the gritty, gun-slinging town of Dirt – a lawless outpost populated by the desert’s most wily and whimsical creatures – the less-than-courageous lizard suddenly finds he stands out. Welcomed as the last hope the town has been waiting for, new Sheriff Rango is forced to play his new role to the hilt . . . until, in a blaze of action-packed situations and encounters with outrageous characters, Rango starts to become the hero he once only pretended to be. with a cast that includes Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Alfred Molina, bill Nighy, Harry Dean Stanton, Ray Winstone and Timothy Olyphant as the Spirit of the West, Rango is an exciting new twist on the classic Western legend of the outsider who saves a town – and himself in the process.
