    The Best Smartphones Ever

Everybody had been waiting for the iPhone 4 AT&T since a long time and when it finally came out, it was not a surprise to see that the handset was selling like hot cakes in the market. iPhone 4 AT&T has been touted as the best smart phone ever and it lives up to that tag. The best part about it is that the Retina display which is really awesome. The screen is so named because you cannot see the pixels on the screen through naked eye. such is the density.

There have been a few problems with the phone though. People are saying that the phone has a ‘death grip’, holding the phone in a certain way causes the dropped phone calls. this problem occurs because the antenna of the phone is located on the spine and hence you are bound to touch it quite often.

Another phone that has been selling well in the market is the HTC Legend. there are a lot of HTC Legend reviews on the Internet, and most of them say that the handset has a really gorgeous AMOLED screen. The HTC Legend comes with Android 2.1 preloaded and the fast processor makes sure that you don’t have to wait too much. The RAM is also increased as compared to the previous model. The camera is equipped with flash and you can easily take pictures even in the dark. Finally, there is lot of new useful enhancements on board courtesy of HTC Sense.

However, HTC Legend reviews also say that the photo quality from the camera is not that god. The phone is not compatible with 3G bands in North America so people there cannot exploit full features of the phone. we still think that this phone is a worth upgrading if you already have the Hero as there are a lot of new features. The phone also has a solid build and it is one of the best Android phones ever from this class of smart phones.

Palm is also a big name in the smart phone world and it is really hard to ignore this manufacturer because they have given us some excellent handsets. Go through some Palm Pixi reviews, they all say that this handset is remarkably thin and the QWERTY keyboard is improved too. The updated OS gives you Yahoo integration along with some enhanced features for messaging. Finally, there are some added goodies like 3G support, GPS and Bluetooth. on the flip side, the Palm Pixi reviews balk on the absence of Wi-Fi in the gadget. The reviews also say that the battery of the phone drains really quickly. The picture quality of the camera could have been better and it doesn’t record video. there are not a lot of editing options either. The Palm Pixi reviews say that the phone is meant for first time smartphone users. this phone is not made for businessmen since it lacks some of the high end features that they are used to.

So it all comes down to what kind of user group you belong to. For the high end smart phone user – there is the iPhone 4, for the mid range user, there is the HTC Legend and Palm Pixi is for someone who is new to the smart phone world.

Apple iPod Touch Review: Is The 4th Generation Worth The Money?

      Posted in Technology

The Apple iPod Touch 4th Generation is the latest in the line of these top of the range MP3 players. Each generation has introduced new features to expand and improve on this multifunctional device. But just what does the 4th generation have to offer customers, both new and old?

Features Of the Apple iPod Touch 4th Generation

Here's a pick of the main features of Apple's latest iPod Touch:* 110 x 59 x 7.2mm, * Weighs 101g,* Front facing and rear facing camera,* PowerVR SGX 535 graphics,* Wi-Fi, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth connectivity,* Comes in 8GB, 32GB or 64GB versions,* 960 x 640px, LED backlit display,* 40 hours audio battery life,* 7 hours video battery life,* Ability to run multiple apps at the same time,* Opportunity to buy a huge range of apps (and games) for various features.

iPod Touch 3rd Generation vs. 4th Generation

Looking to upgrade? then it's important to understand what's changed and what hasn't when it comes to the iPod Touch.

First things first, the screen has been given an upgrade and features the same detail as the iPhone 4. it now features a brand new Retina display, and the resolution has jumped from 320 x 480 to 960 x 640px. this will be an important upgrade to people who like to watch videos or play games on the iPod Touch.

Where the 3rd generation had nothing, the new iPod Touch now comes with a front facing and rear facing camera. the former is for pictures and video, the latter is to use the FaceTime app for video calls when connected over Wi-Fi. that said, if you're a photographer then the camera could do with some improvements in quality.

Cons Of the Apple iPod Touch 4th Generation

As mentioned above, the camera is not fantastic quality (under 1 megapixel) so don't expect to get amazing shots. that said, it's useful if you don't have a camera on you, and it's good at recording videos.

Aside from this, if you're a PC user then you may not be happy that you have to run the iPod Touch through iTunes to transfer music and other files – which many people describe as clunky. ITunes works significantly better if you run it on the Mac.

Pros Of the Apple iPod Touch 4th Generation

The truth is that there aren't really any MP3 players that compare to the iPod Touch. in truth, it's far more than an MP3 player (although, sadly, with a price tag to match). You'll be able to play games on it, download productivity apps, business apps, listen to music, have video calls, surf the web and much more! Apple certainly have the edge when it comes to the huge range of apps available to buy and download for free from the app store.

Should You Buy the iPod Touch 4th Generation Or the iPhone 4?

The iPod Touch is constantly being compared to the iPhone, as they share the same interface and generally similar features. However, the huge difference has got to be whether you need a new phone or not. if you do, and you also want the features of an iPod, then it's well worth buying the iPhone 4 instead.

But there's one major drawback of doing so – the price! the iPhone 4 is going to set you back possibly hundreds of dollars more than the iPod Touch, which makes the latter a great choice for anyone who's already got a phone or can put up with a cheaper one to save money.

        HTC Sensation 4G Comparison Review

The HTC Sensation 4G is one of the most powerful smartphones in the market today, not to mention really easy on the eyes and easy to use. it comes with a fast dual core processor, software extensions that the HTC is known for, and an Android OS. In fact, the HTC Sensation is the first phone in the United States to come equipped with a dual-core Qualcomm chipset which is a 1.2 GHz MSM8660 processor which features the new Adreno 220 GPU.

        Other features of the Sensation:

        • Screen size:  4.3 inches
        • Screen details:  960×450, 16M color TFT LCD capacitive touch screen
        • Networks: GSM, UMTS
        • High speed data: GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA
        • Camera: yes

The HTC Sensation is a great phone but we’ve compared it with other similar players in the market in the same range: the iPhone 4 and the Samsung Galaxy S II.

While the iPhone runs on iOS, both the Sensation and the Galaxy run on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The only difference is that the Galaxy uses TouchWiz 4.0 on top of its operating system.

In terms of speed, the Galaxy and the Sensation have the same speed, although the iPhone only has 1Ghz.

The Sensation comes equipped with just one option for expanded storage through SD cards on top of its 1GB memory, while the iPhone and Galaxy offer two choices for internal storage: one being 16 gb and the other being 32 gb. although the Galaxy features a Micro SD slot, the iPhone doesn’t.

When it comes to comparing the phones’ memories, the iPhone is the worst off with just 512 MB of RAM while the Galaxy has 1 GB and HTC has 768 MB.

Undoubtedly one of the most crucial aspects of any smartphone, we had to closely examine the connectivity of all three. two things all three phones have in common is that they are all quad-band and come with 3G/HSDPA and wi-fi capabilities, as well as the ability to support Bluetooth A2DP so that they can connect to wireless radio. both the Galaxy and the Sensation offer Bluetooth 3.0 while Apple has Bluetooth 2.1.

Another thing they all have in common in terms of connectivity is that they can all support HDMI output: the iPhone through the 32-pin dock connector and the Galaxy and Sensation through its MicroUSB ports. The Galaxy and Sensation are also capable of video streaming to computers and television through its DLNA. on the other hand, the iPhone comes with its own streaming system called AirPlay, which allows wireless audio and video streaming to Apple televisions as well as compatible home entertainment devices.

While the Galaxy and Sensation offer 8 megapixels, iPhone only offers 5. However, all three phones are capable of photo geo-tagging as well as LED cameras and video chat capabilities through their front camera.

So there you have it. all three models don’t differ largely even when you compare their price tags. but certainly the HTC Sensation 4G has much to offer when it comes to value and features.
