Gary Oldman and Ed Harris Land Voices to Call of Duty: Black Ops

Activision, as the publisher, and Treyarch, as the developer, have announced that well known actors Gary Oldman and Ed Harris will be providing voice work for characters that are set to appear in the single player campaign of the upcoming first person shooter call of Duty: Black Ops. Gary Oldman is returning to video game acting to voice Viktor Reznov, the tough as nails Soviet soldier that he initially played in call of Duty: World at War, who will also make appearances in the new title.

Oldman recently appeared in movies like Batman: The dark Knight and The Book of Eli but he has also lent his voice to video games like The Legend of Spyro, true Crime: Streets of L.A. and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

Ed Harris is appearing in a video game for the first time in his career and will be the voice of Jason Hudson, an operative working for the Central Intelligence Agency and one of the main characters of Call of Duty: Black Ops.

His most famous movie appearances include Enemy at the Gates, A History of Violence, The Rock and Apollo 13.

The two companies behind the call of Duty series have also announced that the team now also includes David S. Goyer, who is known as a script consultant and story creator.

He has worked on project like Batman: dark Knight, Batman begins, Blade and the new Superman project called Man of Steel.

Call of Duty: Black Ops is set to arrive on the PC, the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 on November 9.

The game is widely expected to be a hit but it’s not clear whether the Treyarch made title can sell as well as last year’s Modern Warfare 2 from Infinity Ward.

The setting of the game has moved to the cold War and the developers have pledged to include PC features like mod support and LAN capabilities which were eliminated in last year’s installment.

Batman – The Dark Night – Movie Review

I went to see Batman last night. The movie was over two hours of non-stop action. The effects were well done throughout the movie. I like to see movies that have lots of effects without being overdone and completely unrealistic.

The story line was well thought out with Heath Ledger and Morgan Freeman, whom is one of my favorite actors taking on excellent roles. Heath was a pretty wild joker and his demeanor throughout the film kept you on your feet. Batman played by Christian Bale was terrific throughout the film.

The Joker’s motives were interesting and some of his meaning was revealed throughout the movie with key commentary coming from Morgan himself who played Lucius Fox.

There was also the introduction of another character Two-Face (Aaron Eckhart) in the film which added to the plot and twisted it a bit in the last third of the flick.

Check out more about the movie if you want to get the nitty gritty. The Internet Movie Database is where I go to get the low down.

Without giving away the movie I will sum it up by saying – GO SEE IT!!! You will get your money’s worth.
