T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy Note coming August 8th, $249.99 on a two-year contract
The Samsung Galaxy Note on T-Mobile has has a couple of announcements already, first on Twitter and then T-Mobile added a few more official details, but now we finally have an official release date and pricing. it will be released on August 8th, and the pricing is slightly complicated. Buying the Note with a standard 2-year contract on one of T-Mobile’s “Classic” voice and data plans will run $249.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. Customers who choose one of T-Mobile’s less-expensive “Value” voice and data plans can pay just $199.99 out-of-pocket, but that will also have to add an extra $20 per month for 20 months to their bill as an Equipment Installment plan. We suppose options are a good thing, but it will make for an extra decision in the T-Mobile store when you’re considering the purchase.
Those details aside, we know that the Samsung Galaxy Note will launch with Android 4.0 and Samsung’s “Premium Suite” of S-Pen apps, alongside T-Mobile’s own software inclusions like Dropbox, Evernote, and Square. It’s running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S3 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and naturally lacks LTE, which is a little last gen — but that’s the price you pay to get a stylus.
