Commenting on all the results, Streatham MP Chuka Umunna said: “Congratulations to our GCSEs students on their excellent results, which reflect a great deal of hard work and determination.”

“We should also pay tribute to parents, teachers and support staff who work day in, day out to help young people achieve their goals.”

GCSE results in Lambeth have now increased for the thirteenth consecutive year.

Lambeth Council cabinet member for children and young people, Councillor Pete Robbins, said: “It is an incredible achievement for our schools to have improved on their GCSE results for the 13th consecutive year.
