Operating System

Both the Xperia SX and Galaxy S3 will run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS)).  

Processor

The Xperia SX will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 dual-core 1.5GHz processor. the Galaxy S3 will be powered by the Exynos 4 quad-core processor, clocked at 1.4GHz.  both smartphone house 1GB of RAM. the processor the Xperia SX will be using is, according to reports, the same processor the US variant of the Galaxy S3 will be equipped with.

Camera

The Xperia SX will sport a main camera of eight megapixels, with auto-focus and LED flash. the camera features the Sony Exmor R technology, allowing for the capture of high-quality images and HD Video recording in low light conditions. the camera can take 3D panoramic images. the handset packs a front-facing camera of 1.3 megapixels for video calling.

The Galaxy S3 will be equipped with a main camera of eight megapixels with auto-focus, LED flash and other features such as simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch-focus, face and smile detection and image stabilisation. the camera can record video at 1080p and 30 frames per second (fps). the handset packs a secondary camera of 1.9 megapixels, which can record video in 720p at 30 fps.

Connectivity

The Xperia SX is 3G LTE-enabled with download speeds of up to 75Mbps while the Galaxy S3 offers Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi HT40, near Field Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth v4.0. it supports data speeds up to HSDPA 21Mbps and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps. the Galaxy S3 can connect to 4G networks where available.     

Storage

The Xperia SX will offer storage space of 8GB and a microSD card slot for additional space of up to 32GB.  the Galaxy S3, on the other hand, will offer 16GB and 32GB with a 64GB version to be available soon. the S3 will also support microSD cards.  

Battery

The Xperia SX will be powered by a Li-ion battery of 1500mAh and the Galaxy S3 will be powered by a Li-ion 2100mAh battery.
