Photos emerge of Texas model who lost eye and hand in plane propeller accident 

The first photos of a Texas model who was maimed by a plane’s propeller have emerged, nearly seven weeks since the accident.

Lauren Scruggs, 23, lost her left hand and eye after she accidentally walked into the propeller of the small plane she was exiting on Dec. 3.

The photographs show Scruggs, who worked as an editor-in-chief of online fashion magazine LOLO, leaving The Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas, ABC reported. an eye patch covered where her left eye once was and a long-sleeve jacket concealed her amputated hand.

The fashionista was accompanied by her family, who has been documenting Scrugg’s recovery on the website, CaringBridge.org.

Scrugg’s page on the site has yielded more than one million views, according to ABC.
