La Marina 348 Dyckman St., nr. Staff St.; 212-567-6300 Dyckman Marina, once a docking spot for yachts, has been rebuilt as a resortlike bar and restaurant with views of the Hudson and the George Washington Bridge. this 75,000-square-foot, 500-seat complex includes a casual lounge, a swankier indoor bar, a full restaurant (expect oysters, chicken lollipops, and everything in between), and at least one sandy beach bar. next summer, La Marina will add a 22-slip dock to the premises, as well as fishing, sailing, and kayaking.
Brooklyn Crab 24 Reed St., nr. Conover St., Red Hook; 718-643-2722 this tri-level crab shack/playland attracts huge crowds of mingling singles and families for sunset-spying, raw and fried seafood, and beers on the sprawling roof deck. while you wait (and you will have to wait), play eighteen holes on the just-opened mini-golf course with a piña colada in hand or get competitive over on the cornhole court.
