Mary Helen BlehmMary Blehm, 87, of Greeley died Saturday, January 8 at her home in Greeley.she was born on September 13, 1923 in Greeley to Henry Bierig and Katherine (Bruntz) Bierig.

She married Robert Blehm on September 30, 1944 and was preparing for a 57th anniversary at the time of his death in 2001. she was predeceased by her parents, a brother (Alfred) and a sister (Marjorie Ruth).Mary was a home maker and farmer with Robert southwest of Greeley until she relocated to a new residence in Mountain Vista East of West Greeley in 2002. she was a retired rural mail carrier who took great pride in dependable and timely service. many stories and examples were drawn from her experiences as a mail carrier.

She was fiercely devoted to education and proudly completed a GED in 1963 at age 40 after having only the opportunity to complete eighth grade. she continued to encourage and support education – through words and actions – to her sons, grandsons and great granddaughters.
