HTC is expected to re-christen its forthcoming quad-core smartphone to the HTC One X, instead of the Endeavor or Edge being named previously and also re-name its new LTE-enabled phone, the HTC Ville, to HTC One S, according to the Chinese-language sina.com.tw. Rumors of HTC’s renaming of its models also appeared on other websites such as Pocket-lint.

The HTC One X will be powered by a Nvida quad-core Tegra 3 CPU running at 1.5GHz and come with a 4.7-inch capacitive touch display at full 720p resolution, 1GB RAM, 32GB ROM as well as a MicroSD card slot supporting 32GB memory, sina said.

The HTC One S will have a thickness of only 8.9mm, the thinnest smartphone ever launched by HTC. the HTC One S will come with a dual-core 1.5GHz CPU, a 4.3-inch HD AMOLED display and runs on Android 4.0, sina added.

The HTC One X and HTC One S will aslo be the first models supporting HTC’s new music streaming service co-developed with Beats Audio, the Chinese-language Commercial Times quoted US-based GigaOm as indicating. HTC will unveil the new music service at the MWC, said the paper.
