How are haiku poets Basho and Buson are similar?

I've been reading their Haiku's and i don't see the similarity and alot of people in the book club im in don't see it either.

Basho and Buson both praise solitude (never society); the wilderness (never cities, seldom farmland); and the cold (neither poet seems to admire fair weather).

Both are poets who reject the world, man, and society. There are many fine poets who praise all these things.
