Game Hunters: In search of video games and interactive awesomeness

Owners of the Capcom action game Dragon’s Dogma for Xbox 360 can enjoy a special treat starting today: a demo of Resident Evil 6.

The publisher says a free download is available now that grants access to a slice of the upcoming survival horror title, which launches on October 2.

The demo features three missions starring a different lead character. the first involves Leon Kennedy as he explores the Ivy University campus in search of zombies.

The second features Chris Redfield, combing rooftops in China on the lookout for infected creatures. the final mission pits Jake Muller, son of notable Resident Evil villain Albert Wesker, against a new enemy called the Ustanak in Eastern Europe.

As we note in our hands-on preview of Resident Evil 6, each trek will play a bit differently from counterparts. While Leon boasts the more traditional experience, Chris features a slightly faster, action-focused journey and Jake is a mix of the two. Jake’s also has the ability to heal himself.

Capcom did not say when the demo would be available to all Xbox 360 owners, or on other platforms.
