Fuoco Group merges with AIB Forensics
Fuoco Group recently expanded to forensic services through a strategic merger.
Lawrence-based AIB Forensics has moved to Fuoco Group’s Hauppauge offices and will now be known as Fuoco Forensics. The deal, which took effect Aug. 1, creates a new division of forensic auditing and fraud investigation within the Fuoco Group. no money changed hands in the merger.
“I was looking to expand my business to both new York and Long Island, as well as South Florida, so this was a match made in heaven,” said Alan Blass, formerly of AIB who will serve as Fuoco Forensics’ director. The Fuoco Group also has offices in Florida.
AIB’s handful of employees have moved to the Hauppauge office, and Blass said he expects to bring on several more as a result, especially in the South Florida area.
This is the second merger the Fuoco Group has conducted this year.
In January, Fuoco Group acquired the East Meadow-based IT firm XT Group. The acquisition became known as Fuoco Technology and has moved into a Fuoco-owned building in Hauppauge that has since become known as the Long Island Tech Mall.
Krista Lyons, a spokeswoman for Fuoco Group, said the company plans to open a new office location early next month and is in talks to create another new division within the company later this year.
