Faux Jews Heist Was Inside Job: NYPD

New York City police investigating the brazen new Year’s Eve robbery of Midtown Manhattan Jeweler say it was probably an inside job.

Dialite Imports “was about six months behind on the rent and more than a million bucks in debt,” one source said. “On top of they recently got a new insurance policy.”

The robbers dressed like Hasidic Jews to get past security and then robbed the jeweler of more than US$4 million in rare stones. Detectives believe a member of the company “may have cut some kind of deal” with the robbers.
