Ingredients: 1 to /2 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, 6-20 bamboo skewers, Marinade: 2 tsp. curry powder, 2 tsp. sugar, 1/4 tsp. coriander, 1/4 tsp. cumin, 3 tbsp. lemon juice, 2 tbsp. soya sauce, 2 tsp. oil, 1 garlic clove minced, Peanut Sauce: 1/2 cup water, 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter, 1 small garlic clove minced, 1 tbsp. brown sugar, 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes, 1 1/2 tsp. soya sauce, 3/4 tsp. lemon juice

Method: 1. cut chicken into strips. 2. In med. bowl combine all marinade ingredients. 3. Add chicken. 4. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. 5. Soak bamboo skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning. 6. In medium saucepan over medium heat combine water, peanut butter & garlic. 7. Stir till mixture comes to boil & thickens. Remove from heat. 8. Stir in remaining peanut sauce ingredients. 9. Cool to room temperature before serving.
10. Heat grill. Drain chicken, reserving marinade. 11. Thread chicken onto skewers. Place over low heat. 12. Cook 8-12 minutes or till no longer pink, turning several times and brushing lightly with marinade. this dish is best served with peanut sauce.

Not so, said top Supermodel Gisele Bundchen, in an interview, last Friday. she put the blame on weak family support for anorexia. Gisele Bundchen was ranked the 16th richest women in Forbe’s list of 20 richest women in entertainment last week. Despite having a faboulous killer body, she claimed that she was a popcorn, candy and McDonald’s sundae lover. in fact, she was discovered when she was 14 years old while having a McDonald’s Big Mac with her friends at Sao Paulo on her way to school.

In the interview last week, Gisele said that she never suffered from the problem because she had a strong family base. Gisele herself comes from Brazil and has credited her family from being supportive of her since young despite looking skinny. in school, her peers had often teased her by calling her names like Olive Oyle, a thin character from Popeye. Gisele attributed her genes for giving her the silhouette that is suitable for modeling.

Interestingly, the interview was conducted during Fashion Rio show, which has banned models of under 16 years of age and also required models to prove that they are of good health. The strict guidelines follow the death of a top Brazilian model from complications due to anorexia nervosa.

Nonetheless, the fashion industry has also started to pay heed. in September last year, Spain refused to allow models below a certain weight from the Madrid fashion shows. The Italians also signed a pact not to take in sickly and skinny girls onto the catwalk.

Here are a couple of messages that can be learnt from the supermodel herself. Good family support is essential in preventing anorexia in the first place. thus, surround yourself in a warm and loving environment whereby there is constant communication of love and acceptance of each other, despite perceived flaws or imperfections in body shape or behaviour.

we desperately need the snow. haven’t had anything to speak of since last november and we have had to water the smaller trees and shrubs several times just so they don’t die from this dry spell. the latest noaa predictions have a lot of areas getting 20″ of snow and some areas are showing up to 30″. thats great but the one bad thing, the wind. they also expect gusts from 30-45 mph creating white conditions and drifts several feet high. if all pans out it will be the first real winter storm in these parts going back almost a decade. hopefully people will be smart enough and play it safe by fueling up in advance, having enough food, meds etc. on hand for a few days or more for those of us who live in rural areas as well as having everything fully charged in case the power goes out. because of the freakishly warm january we’ve had with most days in the 50s and 60s a lot of places will see it start out as rain, then ice, then snow. not uncommon for areas further east but we don’t get rain/ice here, just doesn’t happen. oh well, let it snow, let it snow.

SAN DIEGO — After two years of disappointing revenue from offseason events at Petco Park, a San Diego City Council committee opted to move forward with a plan aimed at increasing the activity at the downtown ballpark.

Meanwhile, an evolving proposal emerged that would give the Padres a greater share of the offseason revenues the ballclub now shares with the city. Mayor Jerry Sanders’ office said East Village stakeholders have expressed concern that a lack of traffic during fall and winter have hurt businesses.

The committee voted unanimously to work with the Padres to have more offseason activity at the park, including concerts and amateur sporting events.

The current arrangement calls for the city to receive 70 percent of the revenue while the Padres collect 30 percent — a split that Erik Greupner, the team’s senior vice president, said is a disincentive for hosting events.

Greupner said overhead costs not factored into the revenue split mean the Padres barely break even on smaller events.

“We’re forced into a very conservative position where we can only take events that are big winners,” he said. “And that doesn’t happen as often as we’d like.”

The proposed new deal would seek to give 70 percent of offseason event revenues to the Padres to help cover some of their overhead costs. But regardless of the income, the city would be guaranteed at least $300,000 a year.

Council President Tony Young requested the city’s independent budget analyst look into a sliding scale of revenue sharing. for example, for the first $2 million dollars of revenue, a 70-30 split would be used, and that would move to a 50-50 arrangement for all additional revenue.

The full City Council will discuss how the new deal will work in the coming months.

Since Petco Park opened in 2004, offseason events have generated just over $1 million annually for the Padres and the city.

After consistently growing revenue each year, revenues plummeted from a peak of $2 million 2009 to $336,000 in 2010. Though revenue bounced back to just over $1 million in 2011, city officials said they would like to see more events generate more money.

The biggest year for offseason events was in 2009 when the USA Sevens rugby tournament and singer Madonna brought in $1.5 million combined.

San Diego can’t have Madonna perform at Petco Park every year, but the city and the Padres hoped the rugby tournament or a similar event would account for annual income. After holding it at Petco Park from 2007 to 2009, tournament organizers moved it to Las Vegas.

“We want to go after more events like that,” Young said. “A lot of those events put heads in beds. it might not have a big impact at Petco itself, but it could be a lot of money for the city of San Diego.”

Leslie Carter, younger sister of Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter and singer Aaron Carter, died Tuesday in upstate New York at age 25. no details were provided on her cause of death.

I suppose if you include abstinence as a form of birth control than men really have three options But come on – is abstinence really something that most men will focus on? Probably not.

And withdrawal may be something that is talked about among men and women as a form of birth control but you are really rolling the dice with withdrawal. You may get lucky but you may also withdraw too late or too slow and a pregnancy could occur.

First Birth Control Option: Condoms

Condoms didn’t start out as birth control. They were originally made to protect against syphilis back in the sixteenth century. They are still used today to protect both the female and male from STD’s as well as a form of birth control.

Condoms have had a history of changes. What started out as a condom made of cloth changed to animal intestines, then rubber and finally latex which we all know about today.

Today you can buy your latex condoms in all sizes, colors, flavours, and styles. I suppose depending on your mood or style you could literally match a condom to it and it doesn’t matter what size you are as it has become apparent that men are all different sizes and condom manufactures have made their condoms according to that rule.

Some condoms contain a spermicide that gives extra protection against pregnancy. Whatever the condom feels like whether it is jelly like or rubber like do not try to alter the condom with any of your own creams or lubricant. if you want it to be lubricated then buy lubricated condoms because adding your own oils or lotions can damage the condom and therefore destroy the effectiveness that you were depending on.

Remember that some people are allergic to latex. This is something to keep in mind when you are getting ready to have sex with a woman, especially one you don’t know. Ask her if she knows of an allergy to latex and if she does then use some other form of birth control.

How to Put a Condom On

Make sure you have the proper size condom first. then carefully pull the condom out of the wrapper to avoid tears or puncture holes. if you get a tear you might as well be wearing no protection at all.

Unroll the condom on the erect penis making sure to cover the entire length. Leave a small space at the tip of the condom to collect the semen that you will expel. some condoms already have tips that are designed to do this.

The decision is not taken lightly by doctors. Because it is permanent you will be screened as to why you have made the decision. if you are married or dating someone then you will asked to bring her along as well so that the doctor is aware that she is aware. But in the end it is your decision – you are just given some time to think about it before you go ahead and do it.

The vasectomy is a simple operation. You literally go in, get prepped, and have the operation within a matter of hours – less time usually. the operation itself only takes about thirty minutes.

Essentially what the operation does is cuts off the flow of sperm. It does not remove your hormones that make you masculine. It does not affect your libido. It does not affect your sexual performance or the feeling you get during sex. It cuts the sperm off and prevents them from leaving your body.
