Australia?? Tahiti? caBO san lucas?? Jan/Feb vacations?? helpp!!!!?

Hi?

I’m thinking about going somewhere in Jan/Feb and wondering if Mexico is a good choice, or if you have any ideas?

Im thinking about either Cabo san lucas, or Australia, but are there any decent places to stay that are affordable?? I’m not really limited to any amount of money, but I want to get something decent for whatever price.

What is the best place in MExico to hang at the beaches and maybe nightlife? I like nice beaches without lots of crowds, thats the most important thing to me, I don’t care if there is nothing else to do. I just want to chill with the locals and hang on the beach.

Sony Turns A Boxed PlayStation 3 Game Into a Download

Sony’s June 2009 PlayStation 3 disc-based video game inFamous is now Sony’s June 2010 downloadable game.

As part of a weekly PlayStation Store update, Sony began offering inFamous as a 6.88GB download to PS3s earlier this week. You can get the game for $30, the same price it goes for new on disc at brick-and-mortar retailer GameStop.

What’s Sony up to?

A few things appear to be in play here:

1) Sony gingerly experimented with offering full-sized PS3 games for download in the past, releasing Warhawk as a download game at the same time it was released in stores on disc in 2007. In September of 2008, publisher EA released its Burnout: Paradise, first sold on disc at the beginning of that year, as an exclusive full-size download on the PS3 (and not on the competing Xbox 360). inFamous, on sale digitally a year after release, is Sony’s third swing at this. While Sony has been experimenting, Microsoft has been releasing a stream of Xbox 360 games for download over Xbox Live.

2) the inFamous download was made available the same day Sony launched the subscription-based PlayStation Plus service, which gives customers access to discounts, free games and — voila! — a full-download of inFamous that is locked as a 60-minute trial. It stands to reason that future downloadable Plus-based trials should also be fully purchasable by PS3 owners. We’ll see what happens there.

3) Sony competitor Microsoft currently has a 30-minute trial download of Crackdown 2 available on Xbox Live. Crackdown 2 is an open-world game set in a city starring a super-powered hero. inFamous more or less qualifies for the same description. Crackdown 2 is Xbox-only. inFamous is PS3 only. with Crackdown 2 a week away from release, perhaps Sony is doing a little counter-programming?

Verizon Rolls Out Android 2.1 Update For Motorola Droid

Attention all Verizon Droid owners: the long-awaited Android 2.1 update is finally coming your way. An internal company email obtained by Engadget shows that the Android 2.1 operating system update will begin a slow rollout process starting today.

According to the note, 1,000 users should have received the update by noon today. Another 9,000 users were scheduled to get the update at 11:59 ET. As for the rest of you? Well, you’ll have to wait a full 24 hours before Verizon releases the software to 200,000 users. the updates will then continue to roll out once every 24 hours (at Midnight) to 200,000 users until all users have received the update.

Verizon was initially suppose to upgrade the Droid to Android 2.1 on March 18. on March 25, Motorola apologized to users via its Facebook page:

We know you guys are anxiously awaiting the upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1. Ultimately, we want to ensure you have the best possible experience on your device; as a result, the rollout is taking longer than expected. Though we don’t have the new deployment date to share just yet, we do promise we are working to get you updated information and will relay it as soon as possible. thanks for your patience. We appreciate it!

Key Advantages:

  • Email – Yahoo Mail is now supported – customers can simply sign in with their Yahoo! Email address and password. Note: Yahoo! Email is not available over Wi-Fi.
  • Pinch to Zoom now available in the Browser, Maps, and Gallery.
  • Speech-to-Text – Customers can now use their voice instead of typing whenever a text-entry box appears.
  • Google Goggles is now preloaded.
  • The new Gallery application uses 3D layout and shows both pictures taken with the customer’s Android device and images from Picasa Web Albums account online.

the update will bring the Droid to the same version of software as the Nexus One. the newer OS includes pinch-to-zoom controls and voice-to-text input capabilities. other new features include support for Yahoo Mail, preloaded Google Goggles, and a new Gallery application that uses a 3D layout.
